Visitor Centre at Ferry Meadows

Our friendly staff in the Nene Park Visitor Centre can provide you with all the information you need to make the most of your visit to Ferry Meadows.

As well as our extensive information on Nene Park and things to do in the local Peterborough and Cambridgeshire areas, the Visitor Centre is the place to go for our popular mobility scooter hire service. We currently have three mobility scooters and two Mountain Trikes to help visitors with access needs explore the park. These are available for free hire (donations welcomed) for up to 2 hours within our shop opening times. Ferry Meadows Gift & Farm Shop

Located in the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows, our Gift and Farm Shop is home to delicious and locally sourced produce alongside a range of exclusive gifts, treats for the home and garden, games, toys, and everything you could need for a great day out in Nene Park.

Our farm shop section is full of both fresh and ambient food, kitchen cupboard specialities and beverages. You'll find freshly baked bread from a local Bakery, fresh meat and pies from Grasmere Farm and chilli sauces and scorching seasonings from Badgers Artisan Foods.

Also stocked are oriental sauces and noodles from Yau’s Foods, award-winning natural fruit ciders handcrafted in Cambridgeshire by Cranes Drinks, and handmade fudge from ethical supplier Fudged Up in Grantham. Our product range will change with the seasons, introducing locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables alongside a selection of Park to Plate premium quality fresh lamb, born and reared on the Nene Park Rural Estate.

Farm Shop Visitors will have the opportunity to try before they buy with regular tasting sessions running throughout the year. 

Products are sourced locally (within 30 miles) and regionally (within 60 miles) where possible from Cambridgeshire suppliers. Our buying team regularly review the range and are always on the lookout for new local and regional products to add to our shelves!

Towards the back of the Farm Shop, visitors will find a delightful and unique range of gifts, a selection of children's toys and games, garden and homeware items. Recent additions to the gift shop include plantable children’s books from Willsow, natural and vegan soaps and bath salts from Isle Soap Co, and eco-friendly greeting cards designed by pointillist artist Fay Martin.

Pop into the Nene Park Visitor Centre and have a browse during your next visit to Cambridgeshire, and remember, all proceeds from purchases in our Farm & Gift Shop go towards the maintenance of our beautiful Park.

Ferneley's Ice Cream The most important ingredient in Ferneley's Ice Cream is their own farm fresh Whole Milk, from their herd of fresian cows who are milked twice a day. All prepared in their Ice Cream Kitchen on their farm near Melton Mowbray.	Cranes Drinks These refreshing natural fruit ciders produced by Cranes Drinks are packed full of flavour and are a healthier alternative to some of the sugary ciders on the market. All made in Croydon, just 40 miles away.	Rockys Gelato Based in Northampton, Rockys Gelato take incredible pride in sourcing the finest ingredients for their gelato. Whether that be the perfectly ripe British Strawberry, their intense Sicilian pistachios, or their rich Madagascan cocoa, you can be assured, Rockys Gelato is always 100% natural.
Bury Lane Bakery Making lovely handmade freshly baked cakes for over 30 years. Prepared in their bakery in Royston, Hertfordshire just over 40 miles away. Delivered to us in perfect condition ready for our customers to enjoy.	Fudged Up Based in Lincolnshire, Fudged Up produce handmade fudge coated in chocolate; made from premium and ethically sourced natural ingredients.	Grasmere Farm Their absolute passion is providing customers with delicious, tender cuts of meat, expertly prepared and hand crafted by their team of experienced butchers. Their award winning family run farm is situated in Lincolnshire just 14 miles from Nene Park.
Jenny's Jams Created in Lincoln using locally sourced ingredients to produce a range of wonderful handmade jams, marmalades and chutneys.No artificial flavouring, colourings or preservatives - just great natural ingredients to produce great flavours!	Titchwincle Honey A delicious pure, natural honey, unpasteurised and full of natural enzymes, antioxidants, amino acids, natural pollens, minerals and vitamins.	Yau's Peterborough based Yau's specialise in all-natural, free from oriental sauces and noodles made from the finest ingredients. Great in stir frys, for marinating or simply dipping.
Watergull Orchard A family owned business established over 20 years ago. They produce delicious single variety apple juices, mixed flavour juices, pear juice and cider. All from 'tree to bottle' in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.	Oakham Ales A very local brewer - just 3 miles away. They were the first UK brewery to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops and they're still innovating today. Their great taste and exuberant styles are what makes their award winning beers so distinctive.	Pooch’s Treats Based in Fitcham, Norfolk, they're passionate about the quality of their healthy, natural dog treats. All are handmade with locally sourced ingredients and have a high meat content.
