From horseback adventures and scenic train journeys to a leisurely round of golf, these activities give you even more ways to enjoy all that Nene Park has to offer.

Horse Riding

Discover the scenic trails of Nene Park on horseback, marked by the blue horseshoe signs. The main access point is at Ferry Meadows, where a 2.1-metre height barrier is in place. When you arrive, please call the Duty Ranger on 07860 308081 and allow a little time for a staff member to reach you.

Whether you’re an experienced rider or trying it for the first time, horse riding offers a wonderful way to experience the Park from a different perspective.

Nene Valley Heritage Railway

Step back in time with a journey on the Nene Valley Railway. Steam and diesel trains travel from Wansford to Peterborough, passing through the heart of Nene Park. With stations at Ferry Meadows and Orton Mere, it’s a relaxing and scenic way to explore the Park and enjoy a unique experience. Check the Nene Valley Railway website for timetables and tickets.

Golf

Nene Park Golf offers two superbly maintained 18-hole courses, a 12-hole Pitch & Putt course and a covered, floodlit driving range – something for every golfer! Based in the beautiful surroundings of Nene Park at Orton Meadows and Thorpe Wood, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a round of golf or practice your swing.
